Printed glasses promote business in hotels

Glass is an extraordinary material. It always baffles me that it can be made of something that is solid and non-transparent! There are many fantastic facts based around glass for example... recycling 2 bottles can save enough energy to boil water for five cups of tea or power a computer for 50 minutes and that the average household uses 330 glass bottles a year! It must be said though that 70% of consumers believe that glass packaging suggests quality – which in turn, says a lot about investing in glass promotional products!

The demand for printed glasses has dramatically increased over the past ten years and more and more people are seeing the benefits that they pose. There is something nice about drinking from a glass and no matter what people say, it is certainly superior to any plastic tumbler! Custom printed wine glasses are very fashionable at the moment within the hotel and leisure industry. They offer an heir of elegance and sophistication and really add something special to an occasion. They are a very high end way to advertise a business - big and small. The great thing about wine glasses is that they are a fantastic way to promote your company logo whether it’s engraved or screen printed on the side of the glass. People will be impressed with the effort you have put into the product, creating that euphoric feeling! There seems to be so many people that love drinking wine, so just imagine how many people will be able to see your company logo at the same time. There is no doubt they will significantly benefit your business!

Where cost is concerned glass wear can vary in price. Companies such as promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide selection for all spectrums of the budget. All in all, they are very affordable for what they are and how long they last. If you are on a tight budget, but you still want to buy a customised glass, it is advisable to buy online as they seem to be cheaper than when purchased in retail stores. Obviously, if you are a hotel chain and you are buying in bulk, the more you buy will conjurer up a much better deal and prices can be negotiated better.

The key piece of advice to any ‘glass buyer’ is to keep your design simple and effective. The last thing you want is an intricate design that can’t be seen particularly well when produced. That would just be heart-breaking. It is always advisable to ask advice from the experts you are buying them from, as they will know what works and what doesn’t!

Promotional glassware from the promotional mugs range are a great way to attract attention to your business and raise brand awareness.

China mugs add sophistication to any campaign

I could never understand why my Mother never drank out of a mug. She would always choose the cup and saucer, the thin bone china cup that always kept the tea scolding for ages. I personally always preferred a earthenware mug but that was until she made me a cuppa in the china mug! I don’t know the science behind it but it definitely tastes better. Therefore I am going to push the boat out by saying that promotional china mugs are the way forward where promotional gifts are concerned. Supplying promotional china mugs to your special clients at this time of year is a great way to say thank you and acknowledge their support over the past 12 months. It can also leave a long lasting impression as you are giving them a quality present, that will look good and also make their tea or coffee taste better!

Bone china gets its name from the fact that the mug/cup is manufactured from bone ash which gives the vibrant bright white appearance. In the US all china must have at least 25% bone ash to carry the name (but often most china has about 50%). The process of creating this type of mug is very complex but the end result presents you with a lighter and stronger alternative to Porcelain. China mugs have always been referred to as ‘china mugs’ because the process was developed in China. They certainly are a cut above the rest. As you are probably aware, there is always something nice about receiving something for free whether it be during the festive period or any time of the year for that matter. It can make a customer feel valued and if they are feeling this way then they are more likely to use your company in the future. Giving away a personalised bone china mug can instantly add sophistication to any campaign or marketing strategy because they have always had that reputation of superiority. People know they can be expensive so appreciate it when given one. When in actual fact they are quite affordable so you are killing two birds with one stone as they have a high perceived value.

China mugs can also vary in appearance. When you hear the words ‘china mug’ it can automatically make you think about old fashioned cups and saucers – this is far from the truth! Nowadays contemporary china mugs come in all different shapes and sizes and can be screen printed in up to four colours. They can also start from as little as £1.80 per mug. When you think about it seriously you are getting great value for money. Websites such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide range all promotional mugs all of which can be customised with whatever your specifications are. The most common designs usually incorporate a company’s name, logo, contact details and website. This not only looks great but is a gentle reminder to the customer when they are drinking their morning coffee: who you are and what you do. It also offers them a means of easy access communication if they decide to use your company for something.

Promotionalproducts.co.uk are U.K. - based and are one of Europe's leading distributors of printed promotional products and branded merchandise.

Engage more customers with Branded Mugs

Printed mugs are a great way of getting your name out there and maximising your brand exposure. In the current economic climate it is become increasingly hard to claw customers in and encourage them to spend money. At the end of the day everyone is after the best deal and a bargain – so if you can offer this against your competitors – you’ll be laughing! One way of reminding customers who you are is to send them a promotional gift or give out promotional giveaways at events. Branded mugs provide a great avenue for this. They offer potential customers something which they can use on a daily basis and something that really advertises your brand and reminds people of who you are and what you do.

It’s common knowledge that mugs are normally utilized for tea and coffee and other hot beverages but they are also used as very effective advertising tools. Mugs are always lying around the office, on desks, on shelves, in the hands of staff and offered to visitors on a regular basis. This means people are constantly in view of what’s written on the mug and if that’s your company name and contact details, they will be reminded about who you are on a regular basis. Not to mention your name will be exposed to a wider audience on a daily basis too. They are also the perfect promotional gift. Promotional mugs have a high perceived value and you can guarantee that whoever you give one too, it will be used (whether it be by them or their friends, colleagues, families!) The efficiency of such things helps make them more noticeable as opposed to others. Even though mugs can be a bit more expensive and costly in comparison with other promotional products like pens and keyrings, the advertising potential stands way above the rest.

Promotional mugs are not only given away as promotional gifts at Christmas and other special occasions, they are also present at tradeshows and conferences, seminars, product launches, business meetings and large corporate events. They are also given out to staff to boast team spirit and staff morale. If you compare the cost of purchasing some printed branded mugs to the cost of billboard advertising and other media outlet advertising – you are really getting longevity and value for money as mugs can be used for years and years. They are highly robust and durable.

The other great thing about printed mugs is that they come in an array of different styles, textures, designs and colours. There is always the perfect mug to suit any event as there are hundreds to choose from. Select a company such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk and take a peek at their broad range. You can even upload your logo and see what it looks like virtually before you decide to buy. Once uploaded you can then amend, adjust and reposition until your heart’s content!

Promotional mugs are one of the best sellers in the industry so they are certainly worth it!

Invest in your company for business leads.

With so many alternatives to advertising and promotions, finding the perfect promotional product has become just as important as finding a decent and affordable company to maintain your website and internet identities. Some people say that promotional products only have a short shelf life in the current rapidly moving technological environment but I would strongly disagree! There are still many advantages to giving away promotional products and I don’t see these reasons diminishing anytime soon. Promotional products have worked for decades and there are numerous reasons why. Sometimes you just can’t beat something tangible to really create a buzz around your business or product.

Printed promotional pens are one of the most popular promotional products of all time. Pens are great because they can be brought and given away for free and let’s face it; everyone likes to get something for free. You can kill two birds with one stone with pens because they can be beneficial to the recipient on a daily basis and they also clearly display your company name and contact details for all to see. This can provide you with all year round advertising. If you consider the life of a pen and how many people use and see your printed pen – you really do get value for money over a long period of time. Pens are also cost effective because they can be part of a long term marketing strategy as they do not date and can be used months and even years after being purchased. They seem to be a cost effective method in comparison to other outbound marketing strategies. It seems to be the case that if you invest in printed pens for your company, this will pay off in the long run and you will benefit from various business leads.

There are many different promotional pens that you can choose from and if you are unsure, you can always ask companies to send you out a variety of samples for a minimum cost or in most cases for free! Pens come in all shapes and sizes nowadays and have come on over the past decade. Gone are the days of the cheap low cost pen which dries out within a couple of weeks. Now we have parker pens, gel filled pens, roller ball pens, ball point pens, multifunctional pens and felt pens, all of which can be personalised with your own design. Many pens can also be printed with more than one colour which really makes them stand out in the crowd and look professional.

Sometimes it seems that you have to spend a little to get something back and advertising is one of the most important aspects of business. If you just rely solely on word of mouth – you could encounter difficulties further down the line. You really need to investigate all aspects of advertising and promotion and combine them together to make a real difference. For more information on promotional pens, visit www.promotionalproducts.co.uk and see how you can help your company progress further.

Promoting your company on a budget

When the word ‘advertising’ is mentioned, people always automatically think it’s going to cost them a fortune and that successful promotion only happens when you are a big corporation with lots of disposable cash. This is clearly not the case. The majority of businesses are on a shoe string budget and managers are constantly under pressure to spend less but get the results as soon possible. There seems to be many advertising tips out there but you need to make sure you are getting the most exposure for the money you are spending...or else it really is a waste of money and time! There are a few ways you can advertise without spending a penny. Here are a few suggestions:

Firstly get on top of your social networking schedule. This new age method of advertising is great and its FREE - a word that doesn’t come that easily now a days! It’s astonishing how many people use sites such as facebook, twitter, YouTube, MySpace and blogging websites to promote their products and services. Not only do they reach out to a wide audience, they also show that your company is bang on trend. You need to make sure whatever you are posting is interesting and thought provoking or else you won’t get a look in. People are also able to have 24 access to these sites as so many people’s phones are their life and people carry them round with them constantly, utilising their Apps.

Second on the list is word of mouth. This can take a while to build up – but once you are there it is so worth it in the end. There is nothing better than searching for something that you really want and then someone recommending a company that they have used and have been happy with. This not only builds confidence but it also puts trust in your company. Word of mouth can also work in the way of creating a buzz around your product or service and getting people interested that way. You could offer a free product to a new customer as a way of getting people talking. You could also consider coming up with an intriguing slogan or tag line that will get people talking about the creative side of your business.

No matter what your business is, advertising always plays a crucial role and if you have a small budget to spend then you may want to consider the use of promotional products. Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide selection of low cost printed products that can be personalised and easily distributed to a whole range of different audiences. You can pick from promotional pens, printed mugs, keyrings, embroidered caps, umbrellas and much, much more! Have a look for yourself and see today!

Small companies increasing sales through promotional pens

Any business that wants to succeed will constantly look into ways to increase their sales and profit because let’s face it, if you are not there to make money then what’s the point! How to market effectively is definitely one of the biggest challenges faced by both small and large business in this day and age. It seems increasingly difficult to come up with unique and new ideas because a lot of it has been done and seen before. That’s not to say though, that it won’t work for your business. If we lived in a world where only original ideas worked we would be out of business within weeks. Sometimes you just need to research the most effective methods and adapt and apply them to your business and add the occasional tweak to make them a bit more interesting!

A good marketing strategy is a highly desirable tool for any business and one that companies strive after year after year. In order to be successful, it is essential for people to know about your brand, product or service and understand what you offer. There are many ways you can do this and some are more successful than others. There are many effective strategies that small businesses can utilise to make a BIG difference. The following suggestions help to improve the visibility of your business and reach out to your target audience which in turn will hopefully increase sales... First you need to make sure your website is up to scratch. If it is outdated and not user friendly you need to change it ASAP! This is a reflection of your company and I doubt you want to portray this image. An attractive website can make your business look professional and appealing. You do need to make sure that it is easy to navigate around and easy to find. Nowadays you don’t have to spend a fortune to create a good looking website. Many companies offer readymade website templates which you can personalise and tailor to your industry.

Secondly, you could offer some discounts and deals to initially ‘bait’ your customers. People love to think they are getting a bargain or a deal- so this is a great way to reel them in. You can offer these deals on social media outlets to get maximum exposure and traffic towards your website which can hopefully help to upgrade your website to a higher position on page lists on google. This is a great way to get better coverage for your business.

Finally, you could offer a free gift for signing up to a press release, an email subscription or even just giving your company certain contact details. Gaining knowledge of peoples email addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, names of people in the PR dept are all highly valuable pieces of information that can offer further business. Let’s not forget that this is what people pay for when buying a business. A promotional pen is the perfect way to increase sales for a small business. Promotional pens are low cost, can be sent in the post at no extra cost and can be personalised with anything that you like. The most common design is a company name, logo and contact details. Pens are so effective because they create maximum brand exposure and reach out to people that you may think are too hard to get hold of. They also come in a wide range of colours, styles and materials making then very flexible for all sorts of marketing campaigns. Take a look at www.promotionalproducts.co.uk for some superb examples.

There are many different ways to generate more business and sales, but no one said it was going to be easy! Perseverance, determination and patience are key!

Printed pens generate new business

Excellent customer relationships are a key aspect of any business because if you don’t have that vital element then you base your future profits on ‘one off’ buyers which isn’t all that sustainable when investigated closer. People that are happy with the service that you provide and enjoy working with you as a personal are much more likely to come back for repeat service in the foreseeable future. Many companies have looked at different ways to try to keep existing customers yet at the same time attract potential customers and this can be quite a challenging task! It’s safe to say that the business world is a competitive place and if you want to enhance customer relations, then the use of promotional pens is worth considering.

Promotional pens are a great way of keeping in touch with your customers and at the same time giving them something which they can use on a daily basis. They are also a great avenue to help companies develop new business leads. Think about the success of promotional pens... they are given to one person who then lends it to another and passes it on. Suddenly your company name is being stretched along a variety of different customers groups without you even spending a single extra penny and your brand is becoming more and more familiar. You are instantly reaching out to people you thought were maybe difficult to reach! The great thing about printed pens is that they are an item that lots of different people use regardless of their age, gender or interests. Most people need to use a pen at some point in their daily lives and if your name is imprinted on the barrel – even better... you are killing two birds with one stone.

If you decide to give away promotional pens this also puts you in front of your competitors. The customer then has the option of choosing between your business and your rivals and if you have added that personal touch of giving away a quality promotional pen, then odd on, you will be victorious. I think it is important to note that careful consideration is given towards the pen gift. You want to offer your potential client something which is unique and attractive and of course will have a big impact on your client. It is safe to say that the pen needs to be of good quality in order to make a good impression and to help build good customer relations.

Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide range of promotional pens all of which can be customised with your company name, logo and contact details. For more information visit their website.

Top 3 promotional items

Tradeshows are funny places! It sometimes feels surreal, as though you are swimming through a sea of well dressed slick salesmen, elaborate display booths, demonstrations left, right and centre and swarm of printed promotional giveaways. It can be over whelming at times and can also be hard to remember what companies you were impressed with and which ones you weren’t that fussed by, by the time you leave the premises at the end of the day. Everyone is on their best behaviour and in their most aggressive selling mode, trying to sell the dream of their company and how great they are! They really are something that everyone should experience just once in their life!

Depending on the industry driven event, different promotional products are always given away as freebies and it has become one of the perks of visiting the shows. Companies invest lots of time and money into determining which promotional product they will give out to potential customers and clients in a bid to stand out in the crowd in a place where rivalry is rampant. There are a couple of common factors that most companies focus on, however these are never set in stone and to be honest... what works at one show may not work so well at another. Generally people tend to print on products that are lightweight and easy to transport, that boast a large print area for maximum exposure and normally choose a practical product that can be used on a regular basis so that your brand can be seen continually after the event has taken place. Obviously cost is another factor that is of high importance and one that decides which product you go for in the end!

There are a couple of promotional products that are the perfect items for tradeshows and events and i have decided to share the top three most popular items:

Firstly, is the classic promotional pen. You can’t go wrong with this reliable and trustworthy effective marketing tool. Promotional pens have been around for decades and this is simply due to their success at events such as tradeshows, exhibitions, product launches, seminars and corporate events. The main advantage with these promotional items is that they range in price from low cost to executive, they are lightweight in nature and they look fantastic when customised with a company name and logo. They really do raise brand awareness and make people take notice. The other major advantage is the fact that pens are an item that are used on a regular basis, so people of all walks of life will see your logo regularly!

Second on the list are eco friendly printed items. This type of promotional merchandise has many forms and can range from printed caps, to bags, to pens, to mugs to T shirts, practically anything they you choose to print on! Saving the planet is the boat that every contemporary company is trying to clamber on to as this really does say something about the status of your company. People like to think they are buying from a company that cares about the environment. Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide selection of eco friendly products and ones that you wouldn’t have even thought of before! Take a look at their website and see for yourself!

Finally on the list is printed trolley coins. People can use these when they visit their local gym or supermarket and can be instantly reminded about who you are and what you do. They also leave a long lasting impression in the way that they are used after the tradeshow has taken place. They are a nice change as not many companies use them so they will make your company stand out in the crowd!

Advertising Bugs - Promotional Giveaways

Have you heard of advertising bugs? They are also known as promotional logo bugs or little rascals and you see them around nowadays in a variety of places. They are great promotional giveaways at tradeshows and exhibitions, product launches, charity events, fundraising fetes, seminars and even corporate days out. AND the great thing about them is that everyone seems to love them whether they are young, old, male or female. They seem to bring a smile to most faces and they come in such a wide range of characters it’s hard not to love them.

If you are looking to create a buzz around your business then advertising bugs are a great place to start. They are not only cute but also purposeful and do a very important job of advertising your company name and logo effectively to the masses. If you have never seen one before then let me describe one. They are small, friendly and furry and come in a variety of personalities including professionals (doctors, fireman, policemen, coast guards etc), fruit and vegetables, animals, characters holding specific things, seasonal bugs, multi- coloured bugs, glitter bugs and action-bugs. The actual bug itself cannot be printed on, but the bug is attached to a ribbon which can be personalised with your company name and logo. People say they literally stick around forever as they stick (via their feet) onto any object and stay there until removed! Quite clever really!

So what are the main advantages of using advertising bugs over other promotional giveaways. Let me enlighten you. Firstly they are small and portable. No bulky purchase here... they are easy to lift, transport and distribute. Secondly, they are inexpensive which is music to most peoples ears. In most cases people can buy a bulk of these personalised characters and then still have money left in the budget to venture out into something different. They are certainly something that most people can afford.

Bugs can also offer a refreshing change to normal promotional products. People expect promotional pens, keyrings, trolley coins and paper products. They don’t expect promotional bugs personalised with your company name and logo. It can be a nice surprise! Let’s face it they are cute and a great gimmick and ones that will make a positive impact and a long lasting impression. Take a look at the website www.promotionalproducts.co.uk and have a look at a few examples. There are also lots of tips and advice if you want to ask more questions. With the festive season approaching, lots of companies are opting for the classic glitter bugs – they add that extra sparkle at Christmas and are great when send with a corporate Christmas card. Why not order a sample and see for yourself?

Top 3 Promotional Giveaways UK

With the festive season on the horizon, it’s always worth looking at the top three giveaways in order to think about what you could possible give your treasured and loyal customers this year. Christmas time is a great opportunity to remind both potential and existing customers who you are and what you do. It is also a time where people are joyous and are planning the year ahead and this probably involves their next marketing strategy where promotional items may or may not be involved. If you take a look at the top 3 products and decide which one to go for, you will have a head start on your competitors and you will also have guaranteed success along the way. Let’s have a look at the top three products.

First on the list is the classic promotional pen.Printed pens have been around for decades and have proven to be successful over and over again. You only have to look around and see how many companies use them. Set yourself a challenge whilst you’re out and about today take a look and see how many you can count. You will surprise yourself how many are actually on show! It’s true that printed pens do provide limited space in comparison to bigger promotional items however their main advantage is that they are used by all and can be used on a daily basis. Which in turn provides mass brand exposure at a very affordable cost. You must ensure though that your design is right – distorted images and pale colours are not very favourable. If the brand is not represented in the best light – how can you expect customers to use you and remember who you are. The great thing about promotional pens is that they come in so many varieties... metal, plastic, multi-functional, recycled etc. and they range in costs so that suit almost any budget. They really are king of the promotional giveaways!

Second on the list is promotional mugs. These are also great promotional giveaways due to similar reasons of the promotional pen. Mugs provide something that people of all ages can use on a daily basis. They look good, are practical and effectively display your company name and contact details for all to see. There is also such a wide selection to choose from; plastic, china, ceramic, travel mugs, thermo mugs, acrylic and even mugs made from eco friendly materials. All of which can be expertly printed with our company name and logo. Websites such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk can help you to style your design perfectly for your next product launch, tradeshow or exhibition, corporate day or Christmas present.

Finally on the list is the printed keyring. Everyone has a set of keys so it makes sense to give away printed keyrings. You can guarantee they will be used at some point and that they will be seen by a wide audience of all ages. The advantages are endless; they are very useful and people from all walks of life can use them, they can be personalised easily and look very effective, they are low cost as well as cost effective and they are lightweight so they can be given out easily, transported or even sent in the post. If you decide to pick any of these, i am certain they will bring your fortune and increased familiarity amongst your existing and potential customers.

Promotional Products increase Giveaways range

Promotional giveaways have always been popular amongst both large international corporations and small local organisations. It appears that they discriminate against no one and are always a successful boost to any marketing campaign or strategy. There are so many reasons to use both promotional products and giveaways and here are just a few...

Firstly, promotional giveaways and promotional products can range from anything under the sun. Personalised boxes of mints, printed mugs, pens, branded T shirts, beanie caps engraved trolley coins. Whether you need ten or ten thousand, there are companies all over the UK and the world who can help you out and deliver them to you in the least amount of time possible. Whether you have to cater for heavy metal concert, a school fete or an important corporate day – promotional giveaways and products are always there to help. What better way to reach out to your customers and potential clients on a personal level?

Secondly promotional giveaways and products help you to connect with your customer on many levels so choosing the right promotional product is something that you need to get right. You need to think about whom your target audience are and what giveaway would best suit them in the long run. I would generally go for something that can be used over and over again preferably on a daily basis so that your logo can be on show 24/7. The chosen product will also demonstrate the print quality which you are trying to sell to your potential customers and hopefully get them excited about what printed giveaways could do for you!

Thirdly, promotional products have a positive impact on brand image which can only ever be a good thing. Quality promotional products have seen to increase positive overall image of your company name and logo and create a more positive perception of your business. In light of this you are probably more likely to receive more recommendations of your brand. Promotional giveaways just keep on giving! UK Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a superb selection of products which can all be customised with your company name and logo. They are also there to offer help and advice on our best selling products, value for money promotions and most popular items in the industry.

Printed Giveaway Ideas for your business

Some people come up with some funny ideas to promote their company and make money. Take the example of a restaurant newly opened in America which is theme around loo’s – Yes... no joke I’m talking about toilets! Seriously... would you eat on the loo, or how about eating out of one? This weird eatery boasts having toilets instead of chairs and food that is served out of mini urinals. I just can’t get my head round it, there must be a better way to make money and who for goodness sake would eat there? Perhaps not a first choice for a date night! The owner excitedly admits that he stole the idea for the themed restaurant after seeing them in Taiwan! Each to their own I guess...good luck!

There are however better ways to promote your company and draw attention to who you are and what you do. Printed giveaways are the perfect solution especially if you are on a tight budget as they always leave a long lasting impression after the event has happened or they have been given to the potential or existing customer. They are a popular avenue to go down and a whole array of businesses use them around the world. If you look around yourself now, you are bound to spot a promotional pen, a printed mug, a personalised key ring or a branded T shirt nearby. This just really supports the success that they provide and shows you how worthwhile they really are!

There are so many advantages where promotional products are concerned. The psychology behind promotional giveaways is quite interesting. Some studies have shown that promotional products are successful because they provide the recipient with a warm feeling towards the ‘giver.’ The recipient appreciates they are getting something for free which has been thought about and deliberated upon. This builds good future relationships and encourages people to use certain companies again and again.

Reason number two is the fact that promotional giveaways leave a ‘footprint in the sand’ with regards to your company name and brand. Promotional products leave a long lasting impression ‘ a foot print’ on the minds of the recipient. They help people to remember who you are long after the event has passed – which can only be a good thing! It might sound airy fairy but its true and many people swear by it.

With so many promotional products to choose from, there is a product for every event. Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide range of merchandise and are always at hand to offer tips and advice.

The goals of most established companies is growth and expansion and of course as much profit as possible! Companies spend thousands of pounds each year on a mission to achieve this and maintain a stable customer base. Numerous strategies are brainstormed and employed to help entice new customers and maintain existing ones. Heavy advertising ventures are untaken including TV and radio campaigns, social media advertising, billboards and the investment into promotional giveaways, gifts and products.

Promotional giveaways are a great way to introduce new customers to your brand and help them to become familiar with who you are. Let’s face it everyone like to receive something for free and if they can use it over and over again even better! The great thing about promotional products is that they clearly advertise your company name and logo and reach out to a wide audience. Once a customer has had a positive experience with your company – they are very likely to come back for future purchases, so it’s worth getting it right in the first place.

Top 5 styles of bags

When thinking about printed bags, my mind immediately reverts to the plastic bags you get at the supermarket. But nowadays these are the very tip of the iceberg where promotional printed bags are concerned. Nowadays its seems that every type of person (male, female, child, adult) is using bags whether it be a classic handbag, a duffle bag, a backpack or a laptop bag. It seems to me that they are an everyday essential and this is what makes them such an effective promotional gift. Not only are bags extremely useful and practical, they are also a great way to raise brand awareness and a secure way to get your company name out very large format on the front / side / rear or strap of the product and it will certainly be seen from a far.

So what are the top five styles of bags for this year? One of the most popular choices of bags for promotions this year has been the classic printed duffle bag. They are a great asset to trade shows and exhibitions and are VERY affordable if you are on a budget. They can be used to put your gym kit in, to carry a few bits and pieces into the office when you’re cycling in, in the morning or you can simply put your keys and wallet it it to keep them safe. They are suitable for both women and children and more and more schools are using them as giveaways at fundraising events. They can also come with an assortment of pockets which is really handy!

Second and third on the list are tote bags and beach totes. You may not have heard them be called this before but I can assure you, they will be familiar to you. They are most commonly used as gifts for clients and usually come in a square shape with handles; they are usually made of cotton and similar materials such as polyester and nylon. They are very popular amongst females and the younger generation.

Fourth on the list are personalised laptop bags. These are the perfect gifts for any professional, person studying or anyone for that matter who uses a laptop. They look great when printed with a large logo and they really say something about your company when given away as a gift. On the other hand they can be sold at fundraisers at charity events. The great thing about these promotional bags is the person carrying the bag will carry your logo for you and become a walking advertisement. You, therefore win both ways... a happy client and a successful advertising campaign.

Fifth and finally on the list is printed backpacks also known as rucksacks. Companies such as www.promotionalproduct.co.uk offer a wide selection of this type of bag and they look fabulous when customised with a company logo and contact details. They are great promotional giveaways for kids and teenagers and are also very useful whether you are a full time mum, cyclist or gym member amongst many other things. There are many different styles and designs for a number of different people – all you need to do is decide which one suits your target audience the best. Printed bags are a must have for new shops

Starting a new business is always stressful and can be very complicated at times especially if you are new to the industry. It can be difficult to know how to get your name out there and raise brand awareness amongst a target audience that you don’t know how to reach out to. It is almost as though the minute you open your doors to the public you need to start advertising and telling people who you are.

The easiest way to do this is to invest in some quality printed promotional bags - ideally with your name, contact details and logo displayed clearly for all to see. It might also be a good idea to opt for a vibrant coloured bag that will catch the attention of customers and potential customers immediately. Many retail owners disregard the need for good quality printed carrier bags, but it is a highly important step to establishing the quality of your brand for a new business. It can be so frustrating for a customer if they buy goods from your shop and then find the free accompanying bag is useless and breaks on the way home! This is all too familiar when Tesco’s once changed their bags – it actually stopped me shopping there until they reverted back to the old brand! The customer needs a positive experience from start to finish if they are ever to spend money with you again!

It would be very easy to just supply your customer with a plain, impersonalised plastic carrier bag. Yes it would save money and could be delivered instantly but sometimes you need to spend a little to get something back! You would be missing out on an amazing opportunity to advertise your brand to the world and reach out to customers you never thought you had because let’s face it – printed bags are effective walking advertisements! By giving customers a plain bag you are missing the opportunity to remind your customer where your shop is and how they can contact you in the future when they leave the shop. Bags also can display a website address so customers can continue their shopping online.

Companies and websites such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk are very helpful nowadays in helping companies to produce the right design for promotional bags and other personalised products. It is important to get the design right in order for your investment to be a success! You don’t want to purchase some quality printed bags and then rush the design that is printed on them, as it becomes a complete waste of time and money! The design could be too small and will be missed by existing and potential customers, which was probably the main objective in the first place!

Printed bags are a great place to start your advertising journey and you only need to look around to see how successful they are and how many companies are using the today.

How many companies are using Printed Bags

Next time you are out and about town have a look at how many companies are using printed bags as a way to advertise their brand. It’s not surprising how many companies use this method of interaction with their customers (and potential customers) as it is so effective and really gets your name out there amongst the crowds. Printed bags are used not only by retail businesses but also various different industries including being present at product launches, tradeshows and exhibitions, seminars, corporate days and quirky events. Brand recognition is the key to success and prolonged sales and profit!

So what makes people choose to invest in printed bags over other promotional products such as pens, mugs, umbrellas, paper products and electrical gadgets? There are various reasons why and when you see your logo exposed to the world on a carrier bag – you instantly see their effectiveness. They are a great way to help consumers remember a business name and logo long after the event or shopping experience is over. It has to be said though, that companies do not just invest in your basic carry bag. Many companies choose to go the extra mile and invest in tote bags, conference bags, laptop bags, paper bags, bags for life, sports bags and even holdalls – all of which can be customised with your company name, logo and contact details. A lot of companies are also looking to recycled, so called ‘green’ eco friendly products to attach their name to as it really says something positive about their company ethos.

There are many benefits where promotional bags are concerned. Firstly, there is such a range to choose from when you are looking for that special personalised bag for your company’s marketing campaign. The range is phenomenal and companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk are always on hand to help you make the right decision. Also, if you are worried about the actual design on the bag - expert artwork teams are always there to help and instruct when asked or needed. The main advantage with the printed promotional bag is the superb print area it provides and it is really worth doing your research and producing your best design possible. Just think how many people will see your logo and how many people will remember who you are in their hour of need!

Just by looking at the amount of companies that use promotional bags, you can see how successful and worthwhile they are.

Promotional Bags with Large print areas increase awareness

If you have your own business then you will know just how hard it can be to get your name out there and make people aware of whom you are and what you do. Yes, you could spend copious amounts of money on expensive bill boards, magazine advertisements and even TV adverts but with the past credit crunch, these are not realistic options to most companies. Sometimes, simply investing in some effective printed promotional products can be the answer. Let’s face it companies have been using this method of advertising for years and it has kept going because printed merchandise has proved to be so successful and can achieve a great return on investment. The great thing about promotional products is that there is a wide range of product to choose from and everything can be personalised with your company details and logo.

The most sought after product in the market today appears to be the branded promotional bag and when investigated in detail, there is no surprise why. One of the main reasons why they are so successful is because of their superb print area. On most bags you have the opportunity to display your logo in a very large format in comparison to other promotional products such as printed pens and mugs. This means that more people are likely to see your logo and take notice. If you logo is printed on a pen then it may be harder to see and will not reach out to a large target audience. Artwork specialists will always advise you on the best design for your company details and logo so that you are getting the best out of your promotional giveaway. On the other hand you can always design your own and go straight to print.

The second reason why promotional bags are so popular is because of their practicality. Most people (men and women) carry a bag with them at some point in the day whether it be during the week or at the weekend. I’m not just taking about the classic handbag... I’m thinking about record bags, conference bags, bags for life, carrier bags and tote bags – all of which can be personalised with your company details and delivered within a week. It has to be said that a more quality bag may be better off in the long run as it will most probably last longer, however it all depends under what circumstance you are giving them away. The other great thing about their practicality is that they are used by many audiences, young, old, male and female.

I could talk all day about the benefits of a promotional bag; however if you need more information www.promotionalproducts.co.uk are always there to help you out and give you advice.

Best exhibitions & tradeshows of 2013

While the most popular time of year for trade shows and exhibitions is often around the February/March time of year, there’s no stopping more niche markets holding their own large scale events throughout the year. There are a very diverse range of industry specific events occurring throughout the remainder of 2013 including the Ideal Home Show at Christmas, the Olympia Beauty Expo and the BBC Good Food Show Winter.

Many of these shows, while centralised around a unique focal point, employ very similar methods to promote themselves, as do the participants; one of the most popular tools of choice being promotional products which are used both as a way to promote in advance of the event and to reinforce the brand during and afterwards.

Promotional products ranges are very diverse and cater for all types of exhibitions and tradeshows but more often than not, the most proven and effective products are the ones that are re-ordered year on year by everyone. But what are the most popular items? Promotional pens, printed bags, personalised lanyards and advertising logobugs are just a few and can all be found in the giveaways department at PromotionalProducts.co.uk.

Large print areas increase awareness on Promotional Bags

Many companies are giving away promotional bags as a way of raising their brand awareness and increasing their popularity amongst both existing customers and potential customers. Let’s face it, if a brand is well known (for the right reasons) then this can only benefit your profit margin in the long run. People trust a well-known name and are proud to be associated with it, so giving away a branded promotional product can only be a good thing. However there are a couple of factors you need to take into consideration. Distributing promotional products to clients shouldn’t just be a slap dash decision, as not all products are appropriate for all occasions. What would be the point in giving away a printed balloon at a corporate golf day? You want invest in something that has an impact or is at least in some way connected to the event taking place. With so many products on the market to choose from – there is always something to suit all tastes and objectives.

It’s no secret that large print areas on promotional products hold the key to success where advertising is concerned! It would be wrong to say that if you decide to print a small logo and text on a promotional bag then this will have a bigger impact then a bag printed in a large print format – it just doesn’t make sense. You need to be careful what you are printing though and make sure you don’t ‘squash’ as much information in as possible. Sometimes little is more effective because let’s face it, who realistically is going to read a whole paragraph of text when they glance quickly at your promotional bag. You just want them to remember your name, logo and some sort of way to contact you – whether it be email address, telephone number or address details. Most promotional product companies like www.promotionalproducts.co.uk will help you to create your design and will give you advice about how to get the most out of your promotional products.

The other aspect you need to consider is your budget and what your constraints are. Ideally you want to get the best quality you can. Promotional bags are great because you can’t go too wrong with them. Most bags are made of quality material because they need to withstand different weights and are probably going to be used on a regular basis. They are also a fashion statement nowadays so they need to look trendy and desirable. Everyone loves to receive a bag and this even branches out to both men and women.
in your budget. Sometimes it’s worth pushing the boat out and picking something of a better quality which will hopefully last longer. The product will probably last longer and people will see this as a reflection of your company. Then the trust will start to build.

So as you can see there are many factors to consider when thinking about promotional products.

Best festivals of 2013 so far…

It seems that festivals are not just for the young at heart who want to drink themselves to oblivion. Festivals are taking on a new persona and more and more people of different ages and generations are enjoying them – and why not! The UK is a great place to attend a festival and have a good dance and a sing along with friends and family... so what does the UK have to offer? The festival closest to home for me is the Isle of Wight Festival. It usually takes place in the month of June and it always hosts some great artists. It also provides a nice experience where you have to get the ferry across and enter the lovely landscape as you approach the venue! It was one of the last places that Jimmy Hendrix played just a few weeks before he died. So as you can see it’s pretty famous!

One of the longest running and most renowned festival in the UK is the Reading festival (and i guess you could couple this with the Leeds festival). Both music festivals provide a variety of music and draw in HUGE crowds every year! Both are run by the same people who also organise Glastonbury so it is guaranteed to be an amazing few days. This year’s headliners included Eminem, Chase and Status, Biffy Clyro, the Editors and fall out boy... superb!

It’s really difficult to imagine all the preparation that goes into organising such an event. Most people find planning a small corporate event difficult but it must be a nightmare when you are dealing with so many thousands of people and tickets and notoriously hard to manage band groups and members. Just think you are dealing with the bands themselves, health and safety regulations, the advertising and marketing side to help promote the event, the catering and so much more. You also need to think about what you can profit from whilst people are on the premises!

Promotional products are a great way to advertise festivals before they have begun, during and after the event! When people feel good and are having a great time they are more likely to buy branded products... promotional water bottles, printed umbrellas, thermo promotional mugs, balloons etc. Companies such as www.promotionalproducts.co.uk help to provide all these types of merchandise and help to make events big and small even more successful than first thought!

If you can... attending a festival should be top priority on your bucket list!

Promotional Mugs are always effective at schools

With the school holidays coming to an end, I will never forget that feeling of disappointment as a child, when the month of September rears its ugly head! Perhaps that’s being a little melodramatic but I guess it’s no different to that Sunday night feeling of dread for Monday morning. The start of term for teachers and other school staff is a great time to get back into routine and put into play all those action plans devised over the summer months. Sometimes a simple fundraising event is all that is needed to raise the morale of the students and get things fired up for the year to come. Personalised promotional products are a great way to do this and raise money at the same time. Children and employees will enjoy supporting the school and will be proud to carry around promotional merchandise embellished with the school name and logo.

If you are after something a little different then why not think about investing in some promotional mugs. Mugs are a great way to get your message out there and with so many people drinking hot and cold beverages throughout the day – it’s no wonder they are so successful. Mugs can also reach out to a wide variety of people including the young and old. In a school scenario they can be given to staff members, children, governors, visitors, parents and people visiting the school fete! They promote the school well and get your message out there as even schools need to advertise.

Now, I know you are thinking a ceramic or a china mug isn’t ideal for a child/teenager and you would certainly be right. It’s all about type casting the right mug with the type of person. A plastic mug would be more appropriate for this target audience and we will soon discover the reasons why. Whenever someone mentions the word ‘plastic mug’, I do shudder slightly as the thought of drinking out of plastic. However, I have learnt that the whole concept of plastic mugs has changed and nowadays you wouldn’t know the difference. They are just as pleasurable to drink from. The great thing about plastic mugs is that they are hard wearing (perfect for children) boast a long life span as they are robust can withstand a lot of hard ware and they certainly leave a long lasting impression.

Adults on the other hand maybe wouldn’t be so happy to drink their morning wake me up coffee from a plastic mug and will definitely prefer a china or ceramic mug. Companies such as promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a whole range of products all of which can be personalised with the schools name and logo. A quick reminder of the fantastic school that your children belong to or a reminder of their contact details when you need to ring them about something!

Promotional mugs really are a great way to raise your schools awareness in the community.

Printed pens producing interest at shows

The traditional time of year for tradeshows is between the months of February and May. However, with the ever increasing range of conferences and tradeshows vying for space at the various exhibition halls around the country, the competition is fierce and once there, the investment and emphasis that industries put on these shows is more than evident; high quality speakers, huge advertising banners and sophisticated trade stands ensuring that attendees feel that they’re getting their money’s worth.

The after show experience continues too with numerous exhibitors furnishing their newly acquired contacts with a plethora of freebies and giveaways. The most popular promotional products by far and away are pens printed with a logo and slogan. You can’t help but appreciate why too when you consider the initial cost against the potential ROI.

The range of giveaways that can be printed with your logo is extensive but when it comes to value for money, promotional pens lead the way. There are a huge range of colours to choose from especially within our best-selling Fashion Pens and Ice Media Pens ranges. Why not have a look for yourself and see witness for yourself how beneficial they can be? Visit PromotionalProducts.co.uk for more information.

Popular with schools: Promotional Mugs

September is drawing in and you can feel the tension amongst the school children as they are thinking about going back to school after six long weeks of relaxation and fun. However, the start of term is not all doom and gloom and it can be a welcomed rest for parents and a boast back into the reality of routine again. Teachers and headmasters will have been planning and thinking about ways to fundraise for schools for the up and coming year and promotional products are the answer on many occasions.

I could bombard you with facts about the shelf life of a personalised pencil or the advantages of the printed pen – but I think it’s time for something different! I think sometimes we all need to think outside the box a bit more. Schools are not always associated with children, there are teachers, parents, support staff and others who are all ready and waiting desperate to help out and raise funds to support the pupils. Therefore, promotional mugs are a great place to start. Promotional mugs are affordable and they provide a great return on investment. What is the first thing a staff member is going to do when they start back in September? The answer is simple... have a cup of tea or coffee and a catch up. Promotional mugs create that sense of team spirit – especially if they start the term with brand new sparkling uniform printed mugs with the school logo on. They are also great items to sell and school fairs and fundraisers. People want to make a difference and this is one way of doing so.

So let’s look at the advantages of a promotional printed mug. Firstly and most importantly, they continuously advertise your product and service whether you are education based of office based. Many people will see what’s written on the mug over a period of years as mugs are so practical and they have such a long shelf life. Secondly, They generate a direct response from whoever is using them – which is always a great point of conversation an raises brand awareness. Thirdly, they are very versatile, they can be carried from location to location, they can be used at home or in the work place and they are robust and trustworthy. The biggest advantage of all is the fact that they are a promotional product that is used on a daily basis and missed if not used. People become reliant on them and they become a part of everyday life!

Summer is not over yet, how about drinks bottles printed.

The August bank holiday weekend is nearly upon us and that can only mean one thing... the Reading and Leads Festival 2013! The traditional event always draws in a huge crowd and tickets are sold out within minutes of being available. At the Reading festival this year the iconic Eminem, Green Day and Biffy Clyro are headlining so it’s certainly going to be another successful year. If you think about the thousands of people that attend the event, you will realise what a great advertising opportunity it provides companies in the UK! Think about all those different types of people you could be reaching out to.

There are so many promotional products to choose from when you are looking at printed items that accompany the summer months...and festivals for that manner! These range from personalised baseball caps, T-shirts’ to printed umbrellas, to drawstring bags, to beach balls, to Frisbees even printed water bottles. There are so many options, none of which have to be boring and dull. Going on what our customers buy, I have to say that printed water bottles and promotional mugs are a firm favourite as they are something that you know people will use on a regular basis especially through the warmer months; not to mention they look superb when printed with a company logo and contact details.

Not only are these bottles great giveaways for summer they are also perfect for businesses to give to their employees to keep hydrated during the day throughout the year. They also work well with companies in the leisure, sport and fitness industry. Let’s face it, most people love to receive something that is free and useful, so these are the perfect giveaway! Once these bottles are branded, they effectively display your contact details for all to see and they subtly advertise your brand without the customer realising too much! They appear to be more of a reminder then an intrusion!

So in summary, the main advantages of the classic printed water bottle are... Firstly they serve to remind the customer (and others) who you are and what services you provide. Secondly, bottles are appreciated by most and increase brand loyalty due to their practicality and usage. Finally they are great giveaways at most events including tradeshows, exhibitions, seminars, corporate days etc – the list is truly endless due to their versatility. They also come in a variety of colours, styles and designs and companies such as PromotionalProducts.co.uk can help create the perfect printed bottle for your company or event.

Printed mugs, glasses, cups & much more...

So the debate rages on is coffee good for you or bad for you? There seems there is so much evidence (good and bad) it’s hard to decide whether to keep drinking it or not. I have to say though, the thought of drinking a green tea at 7am before work – fills me with repulsion. I need my coffee in the morning which i enjoy drinking - not a herbal remedy! So looking at the facts its seems the caffeine in coffee may cut post gym muscle pain, it provides anti-oxidants to the body which is a good thing and it is even said to boast the female sex drive – so it’s obviously not all that bad. On the other hand it can keep you up all night, and too much caffeine is said in extreme cases can kill you! Now that’s quite a scary thought! I think with anything we all need to make our own decisions and do what we think is best.

What we need to keep in mind is that most people in the UK drink some description of a hot beverage in a printed mug most days of the year, whether it be coffee, tea, hot chocolate or green tea. Whether people admit it or not everyone has a preference for the mug that they use and if that mug has your company name all over it – all the better! Personalised mugs are a popular choice amongst clients as they are used on a regular basis and they complement the perfect style that appeals to corporate clients. The great thing about these promotional products is that they come in a variety of designs, styles, materials and colours that suit any event or occasion and they are affordable too.

The advantages for printed mugs, glasses and cups are endless! It’s safe to say that they continually advertise your products and services on a regular basis because it’s a fact that people need to drink throughout the day. Promotional mugs and cups also help to create maximum brand exposure so that people start getting familiar with your logo and trusting your brand. They are also versatile in the fact that they can be used both in the home and at the office – a continue reminder of who you re! They are also great gift ideas for special clients or even employees. Everyone likes to receive a free gift and if it’s one you can use over and over again then all the better.

Companies such as PromotionalProducts.co.uk can help you to design the perfect mug taking into consideration all your requirements and needs. Print mugs are certainly the way forward.

Driving traffic to your site through promo pens

It seems as though more and more people are shopping online and buying products and services via the internet before venturing out into the local shops. It almost feels like you are getting a better deal online because you can compare costs across the different retailers and purchase something that you know you are getting a good deal on (which in turn creates the feel good factor!) One day high street shops may not exist although I hope this is not the case, as there is something nice about looking around the shops on a Saturday afternoon! It is a fact that company websites (and websites in general) are becoming like shop windows. If people like the look of your website, they will enter the site and hopefully purchase something. So it’s no wonder people are spending £100’s to drive more traffic into their sites through any means possible because the more customers you have, the more sales and profit you will make. The obvious option would be to employ an agency to help you to create creative email newsletters, e-shots, write blogs and post your company successfully on social network accounts but in the current climate many companies just do not have the finances to do this. There are however other ways you can draw attention to your brand and your website.

A great way to drive traffic to your website is to invest in promotional giveaways because let’s face it everyone loves a freebie. I don’t know of many people that would resist something that is given to them free of charge. You could giveaway promotional pens for example – printed with your company name and website. This would then prompt people to look up your website and see what you have to offer. People then are likely buy from your website or save it in their favourites to refer to at a later date. The promotional pen is a great marketing tool because pens are so widely used and they travel vast distances through being borrowed, lost and kept! They also serve as great reminders as they casually lie on the desk gently reminding their owners of the company they are representing!

Companies such as promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a huge selection of promotional pens which can all be customised with your website. You can even create your design online and upload it instantly to see what it would look like on your chosen pen, giving you an accurate insight into what your final product will look like. It’s simple, quick and fun and the final outcome will hopefully drive traffic to your website.

Budget ideas to raise company awareness

People are saying that this era is the time to start a new business as there has never been a cheaper time to advertise and optimise your marketing objectives. It appears that it is cheaper than ever before for you to get your name out there and get noticed! Even companies with small budgets are managing successfully to rapidly raise brand awareness and create a buzz around their products and services. The key to success is to be creative and clever with your branding and do your homework before you launch your campaign! You need to be on the ball and do a bit of research to find out the best low cost marketing opportunities. Here are just a few suggestions.

Think about becoming familiar will social network sites, the obvious ones being Facebook, twitter, youtube, instagram and google+. They are fantastic ways to raise brand awareness for next to nothing. Connecting with these sites can help you connect and interact successfully with customers, build relationships with clients and most importantly increase brand awareness. Admittedly it takes time and effort to build up your profile but at the end of the day the rewards outweigh everything! They are a modern way to connect with your target audience.

The other obvious way to raise company awareness is to optimize your search engine traffic. This may cost you a little more than the other suggestions in this article but the internet and websites are certainly the way forward. If you get this area sorted now, it will be just a case of maintaining and updating. You will quickly become a respected and well established internet company within no time. The best way to do this is to get the advice of a professional. Go to a company that specialises in SEO and ask them to analyse your site and suggest a few recommendations. Or... you could go on a course yourself and learn the basics.

Low cost promotional products are another great way to raise brand awareness. They reach out to all your customers whether they have the internet or not and the massive advantage with promotional items is that they are tangible! There is such a choice to choose from as well. Printed mugs, personalised pens, keyrings, mousemats even umbrellas, all of which can be printed with your company details at a very affordable cost.

Finally, my last point is based around offering incentives to customers who send referrals. You need to give your customer a reason to tell other people about your company. Word of mouth is priceless and a superb way to build a good reputation and gain more customers. Offering existing customers a small reward for doing this is a great way to stand out in the crowd when you’re on a budget!

So there you are... you don’t need to spend much to make a difference!

Promotional Pens, still the number one choice

There is no doubt about it printed pens are the best selling product in the market and are still the number one choice for many companies... and to be honest there is no surprise why! Pens are amongst the earliest and most efficient forms of advertising and always rank high where brand awareness is concerned. They range from the classic low cost giveaway to the executive style promotional gift... both are successful ways to remind people who you are and what your company does. It also gives potential and existing clients the opportunity to see your company logo and contact details on a daily basis. There is always a pen to fit your budget, personal style and business.

Printed pens boast many advantages. Firstly they help you to create a positive brand image and they are a great goodwill gesture for your clients. Let’s face it – everyone likes to receive something for free and if it is something useful then all the better. The great thing about promotional pens is that they are very cost effective - which is a phrase that is always good to hear. People think they are receiving a higher perceived value gift then they actually are which does you many favours. Secondly, they reach out to a wide range of audiences. It seems that everyone uses pens no matter what age they are, what job they do or their social standing in society. The pen is a product used by all – no matter who you are. The biggest advantage of these promotional items is that they look superb when printed with a company name or logo. The company brand can be printed on the barrel for maximum exposure and all sorts of other extra pieces of information can be included... phone numbers, websites, even a controversial statement.

Companies such as promotionalproducts.co.uk offer a wide selection of promotional pens which suit any event and occasion. They also provide continual customer support in case you need to ask questions about how to effectively design and position your logo and contact details. Promotional pens are the Andy Murray of Wimbledon in the marketing industry! Champions!

How charities can increase profitability through fundraising.

Without charities in our lifetime the world would certainly be a difference place - and in my eyes not a better one. Sometimes you need to give something back and it certainly feels good to do so. With so many needy causes, there are many non – profit organisations which help to try to combat poverty, cruelty, illness and research around the world however, they do all rely on public donations, enthusiastic volunteers and successful fundraising campaigns. It’s important to get these right in the first place to enable successful charities to make as much money as possible for the cause. They certainly provide a unique role in the community they serve.

When considering and planning a fundraising event it is important to look at the figures and make sure they are water tight. You need to think about what will raise great funds, awareness and what will leave a long lasting impression when the event is over. Creative fundraising seems to be the key! You need to set yourself apart from the other charities so that people decide to give their hard earned cash to you and not anyone else – although this does sound harsh when we are talking about people in need. Comic relief is a great example of creative fundraising and they raise millions every year! Yes... they do have the capital in the first place but perhaps you need to invest first to create the rewards! Example of creative fundraising include celebrity appearances at events so that more people are encouraged to come – and you never know they may do it for nothing considering it’s for a good cause!

Promotional products are also a great way to increase profitability through fundraising and they are a cheaper option then perhaps an organised celebrity event. Investing in some quirky giveaways such as printed bugs are a great way to raise money and awareness and they cost so little in the first place, they are a no brainer. They are also fun and appropriate for both children and adults and because they are sticky, they literally hang about raising awareness for months to come after the event is over. If this is something you are considering you should take a look at promotionalproducts.co.uk for some helpful tips and ideas.

The more diverse and different the fundraising event you plan, the more profit you will make. You need to make yourself unique and distinct from others so that people look forward to attending and are more willing to give to a worthy cause. Items such as promotional pens have proven a great value investment. Cow pat lottery (dividing a field in to a grid and allowing a cow to graze and then respond to natures call) is a great country style event that raises money for charities and is still fun and exciting for all taking part.

Fundraising is a fun way to raise profits and if it’s done correctly you will reap the rewards!
